
What is ART?
The ART – Technical Responsibility Note is a document for the execution of works or provision of services that defines the technical managers of the professions covered by the Confea/Crea System.
What is it for?
The ART serves as proof of the professional’s technical capacity and also as a defense instrument for society, as it confirms the professional’s commitment to the quality of service provision.
Is required?
It was through Law No. 6,496/77 that an ART became mandatory for all execution of works or provision of Engineering services.
In condominiums, when is it necessary?
In any changes made to buildings and vertical condominiums from 04/18/2014, including those carried out within the units, the owner/resident must present a renovation plan and the ART to the condominium manager signed by the Engineer who will supervise the work, in accordance with ABNT/NBR 16.280/2015. The renovation plan and the ART must be delivered to the property manager, who must ensure that the information in the documents is compatible with the services being performed.
